Blue Shell

These pictures are of a little hummingbird that hangs around our palm tree and feeder. I call this one Harriet. (It's a tiny, round bird that chases the other birds off and chirps really loud, reminds me of my great Aunt Harriet!)

January and February have been really busy months for us; I knew I was behind keeping everyone up to date when I got a Facebook message from Aunt Alice. So here is my little update!

I took an on call job at a Healthcare Center for seniors, the same facility that I did my clinical hours for my Nurse Assistant School. When I took the job January second, I said to Matt, I'm on-call I'll be lucky to work once a week. Six weeks later I have worked over 40 hours every week! I really enjoy the residents, they are all very nice and happy which is great. One of the things that always makes me laugh, a few couldn't remember the last name Buechel, so they call me Jessie Blue Shell. Matt and I thought that was pretty funny and if we ever named the house we could call it the Blue Shell Hotel!

I started my LPN School Friday; I have class Monday through Thursday 8-3, until June. After June I will be part time in class and part time in clinical. The program runs until March 2011. My professors all seem really knowledgeable and I am looking forward to it.

Matt is busy at work as usual and keeping our yard up. He does a really great job and I am always impressed! We went to a party last night for one of our neighbor's birthday. Several of the ladies were complimenting Matt on his beautiful flower bed.

The weather is getting to be my favorite time of year. Sunny days and cool evenings. The Phoenix Open golf tournament is next weekend and we love going. (Just wish Kristin and Brandon were coming!) Spring training is in a few weeks, love that too!
