The Minches are spread out all over the country. We live in Florida, Georgia, Colorado, Utah and Arizona. We are busy people with a lot of exciting things going on! On this blog, we can all share what is happening in our lives.
Happy birthday to my little sister! Beckie you are always so fun, everyone loves to be around you. You are kind, funny and sweet. You are such a great mom to Luke. I am so proud of all you have accomplished this past year. It's not easy to be a single mom but you do it with a smile. I hope your birthday was everything you wished for. I love you.
We all had such a great time last night. Beckie and I are lucky to have great girlfriends. Love you girls! Andrea, Megan, Tara and Jenny thanks for helping us celebrate.
I guess it is now tradition to have a really fancy girls night for Beckie's birthday! I got our best girls together for a night out. We started at Primp & Blow, which is a hair salon that you get a blow out. We were very spoiled there with champagne and cupcakes.

Better late than never. Here are the last three months of activity in our house. Christmas Eve was really fun! Matt and I hosted our Christmas Eve open house which we open up to friend's who don't have family in town. If you are ever here on Christmas Eve and want to come over, consider yourself invited! Here is our mantel after Santa came, I made the stockings.

Keeping with Minch family tradition, Matt and I bought one big toy gift for all 3 kids to open on Christmas Eve. A mini basketball hoop, I am sure their parents liked that we are keeping it here.

Lily is always my best helper with desert. She loves my mixer! When I went on the inspection of the house, I was told the stairs were not to code because kids could fit their heads through. I though who would do that? Now I know every kid! The group sitting down.
I am about to head to bed, Thursdays are a tough day with having a clinical for school and researching everything in my patient's chart for the next day and getting back up at 5:15. Getting to bed before midnight is a win! I wanted to thank everyone who sent me cards, presents, messages and came to my birthday happy hour at the Valley Ho. I will get my thank you notes out soon, I swear! I have so many wonderful friends, a super family, the most perfect husband, I'm a lucky girl. Love to you all!

Beckie started her job at Charles Schwab today. Doesn't she look cute in her "work costume"? Her words not mine ;) All kidding aside we are all very proud of Beckie!

To all our “Italy” friends,
Today marks the 30th anniversary of our first morning in Vicenza, Italy. We were staying at the Europa Hotel, it was Jessie’s 3rd birthday & Beckie was almost 11 weeks old. So on this day or shortly after we met all of you, who became our great friends ! We had such a great time in Italy with all of you. It was really the opportunity of a life time ! We are happy that our friendships have continued thru the years.

When people ask me where I am from, which happens all the time during rotations for nursing school. Actually the questions happen like this:
Jessie, where are you from? I moved to Scottsdale six years ago from Salt Lake, but my dad was in the Army so I've moved around.
Are you old enough to be my nurse? Yes, I am 33
Are you married? Yes & my husband is wonderful.
Why don't you have any kids? It might be better if I finish school.
Today in class we had to bring a food from our own culture. (This potluck was held under the premise that we were learning about different cultures but I know the real reason, nurses love to eat.) I brought rice crispy treats, I figured I am an American. I told the class I brought them because when we lived in Italy my mom dazzled our Italian friend's with her rice crispy treats. What better way to explain my personal culture? I'm so lucky to have the experience of living in Italy and knowing all of my parent's wonderful friends.
