Drive the Dream Gala

On Saturday night Megan and I volunteered at the Childhelp Drive the Dream Gala. We also volunteered at the event last year. I worked as a concierge, so I couldn't really bring a camera but I had my trusty i-Phone. (I was also keeping an eye on the Cardinals game, quite a few men were asking me for the score) The gala is held at the Barrett Jackson car auction. This vintage Mini Austin with wicker seats was my favorite car.

There were celebrities at the event and they had a Hollywood Squares game. I was asked to help escort the celebrities back to the green room. This was the best I could do for a photo with out seeming obvious. Jane Seymour, Cheryl Ladd, Connie Stevens, Kathy Lee and Frank Gifford, Ricky Shroder, John O'Hurley, Colin Raye and the founders of Child Help Yvonne Fedderson and Sara O'Meara were some of the people in this photo. I had a great time and even chatted with Kathy Lee who congratulated Beckie and Steve on the birth of Luke and asked me to check her teeth for lettuce!

The event was a big success raising 1.5 million dollars for the prevention and treatment of child abuse. I am grateful that my dear friend Analisa asked Megan and I to help out. Analisa by the way was a champ at the event, she looked beautiful in her cocktail dress and heels, she is due on the same day Beckie was!
